In the early 2000s, Andrei Filozov and I decided to contribute to the beauty of the Mac OS X operating system. It's hard to remember why the subject for experiments was the series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but anyway, it was his motives that became the basis for this set of icons.
Each icon was created by hand. Both clipart and Photoshop filters were used, as well as a hand drawing on a tablet. In particular, a lot of work was delivered by Spike. One of the key characters, whose image in the right perspective and good quality we could not find. As a result, he was drawn almost from scratch on a tablet, with minimal use of textures.
We also paid a lot of attention to the concept of each of the icons. The task was to simultaneously and accurately convey the spirit of the series, and make a logical link with the system components of Mac OS X. So that each icon retains its functions in the system and is understandable at a glance.
Now this set has been restored and is available for use not only on Apple devices, but also on Windows. You can find the corresponding files in the archive.
